CWHP will study the outcomes of employee populations after pharmacogenomics are facilitated, case managed, and applied in high-risk, highly complex plan members.  As the inaugural study in CWHP's series Complex Case Management and New Technology, this study focuses on the real world implications of genomic testing for patients, providers, employers and others around managing complex cases and the outcomes of these cases. In addition to understanding the perspectives of patients and providers, this study will assess the clinical and cost-related outcomes associated with pharmacogenomics in employee populations through administrative data records.  This study will allow the research team to identify opportunities and barriers for health improvement, care coordination and cost reduction associated with pharmacogenomic testing specific to the cases and settings included in this study.
