Webinar - 01:00 pm to 01:45 pm EST

In a webinar moderated by CWHP President Dr. Tom Parry and hosted by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and Integrated Benefits Institute (IBI), three major employers present their use of patient-centered research. Representatives from Wal-Mart, The Boeing Company and Xerox Corporation discussed their perspective on how employers consider patient-centered research in the design and purchase of employee health benefits.

Attendees learned about patient-centered research and what is available to employers through PCORI; how patient-centered evidence can be used to impact healthcare costs and quality; how employers can work effectively with their health plans; the need for linking broader outcomes, such as work absence and performance, to patient-centered evidence and the role of research in meeting the evidence needs.  The webinar identified the issues and needs that employers see as relevant to maximizing the use of patient-centered evidence.
